Ethiopia ︎

2016

This series here was inspired by my recent trip to Ethiopia with the Faculty of Architecture of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. While on our trip, we analyzed the infrastructures and accesses to water accommodations in three different types of areas: the slums, condominiums, and a small village. We worked in two cities, the capital, Adis Ababa and Ankober, a village located in the mountains.

This trip allowed me to discover a country growing between tradition and modernity. It was here that I felt the need to take my photography one step forward, and capture the human experience. After all, architecture does not always convey the expressions of people.
